Individual
Our individual counselling sessions offer a safe, supportive space in Port Coquitlam or virtually across British Columbia to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges—without judgment. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, or major life transitions, therapy can help you feel more grounded, empowered, and understood.
We use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to support your unique journey toward healing. In each session, you’ll be guided to reconnect with your inner resilience, restore emotional balance, and build practical tools for lasting mental wellness.
Whether you prefer in-person sessions in Port Coquitlam or the convenience of online counselling, we’re here to support you with compassion and care—so you can move forward with greater clarity, strength, and hope.

Couples & Families
Our couples and family counselling sessions provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore emotional dynamics, repair connection, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. We integrate both Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, two evidence-based approaches that help improve communication, deepen emotional intimacy, and rebuild trust.
Whether you're experiencing conflict, disconnection, parenting stress, or life transitions, we guide you in developing healthier patterns of interaction, so your relationship or family system can thrive.
Sessions are available in-person in Port Coquitlam or virtually across British Columbia, making it easier to access support that fits your schedule and needs. Reconnect, strengthen your bond, and create lasting emotional resilience—together.

Spiritually-Informed
For many clients, faith is a meaningful source of strength, identity, and resilience. If you’re seeking Christian counselling or want to explore how your spiritual beliefs intersect with mental health, we offer spiritually-integrated therapy that respects and incorporates your values—only if and when you desire it.
Emily brings a compassionate, inclusive approach to her work and welcomes clients from all backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems. For those who want it, her background in Christian ministry allows her to offer therapy through a Christian worldview, integrating biblical principles into the counselling process in a respectful, supportive way.
Whether you’re seeking faith-informed guidance or simply a safe space to reflect on life’s challenges, Emily is here to walk alongside you with understanding and care.

Neurodiverse Affirming
Whether you are neurodivergent yourself or supporting a neurodiverse loved one, we offer neurodiversity-affirming counselling tailored to your unique needs. Our approach is grounded in understanding, acceptance, and empowerment, helping individuals and families navigate life with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other neurological differences.
We recognize both the challenges and strengths that come with neurodivergence. Through supportive therapy, we help you build resilience, reduce stress, and foster emotional well-being—while celebrating what makes you or your loved one unique.
For parents, partners, and caregivers, we provide counselling for families of neurodivergent individuals to improve communication, reduce burnout, and cultivate deeper connection and harmony at home.

Psalm is an Approved CVAP Provider
If you’ve been a victim of a crime, a family member of a victim, or a witness to a crime, you may qualify for free or subsidized counselling through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) — a BC Government initiative that helps individuals recover from trauma.
At our practice, we offer CVAP-approved counselling in British Columbia and can directly bill CVAP on your behalf, reducing financial and administrative barriers during an already difficult time.
We also align our session fees with the current CVAP rate, meaning you won’t pay anything out of pocket if you have an approved claim.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify or need help navigating the process, we’re happy to guide you.
